FYS 1017 ZIONISM AND ANTI-ZIONISM

Zionism is the ideological movement that led to the founding of the State of Israel.  The course examines the development of Zionism in its many forms, as well as past and present objections to it. With readings drawn from history, religion, and philosophy, topics may include the historical and political contexts of Zionism, Jewish and non-Jewish anti-Zionism, and the relationship between anti-Zionism and antisemitism.
