FYS 1009 ENERGY FOR A SUSTAINABLE WORLD

Today’s societies are increasingly thirsty for energy required to power a variety of needs, such as lighting, transportation, climate control, machinery, and electronic devices. What are different sources of energy? What are their impacts on natural resources? What are their societal impacts? What are some emerging technologies? This seminar examines the interrelationship between these questions and the basic underlying science of energy production, consumption, and sustainability.
