EDU 223 INTRO TO EDUCATIONAL STUDIES

An introduction to Educational Studies as an academic field of study. The course examines competing visions about the purpose(s) of education, as well as the ideas and contexts that inform educational structures, policies, and practices and shape the educational experiences of individuals and social groups along lines of race and ethnicity, gender and sexuality, language, religion, social class, and (dis)ability.
