BIO 316 NEUROPHYSIOLOGY

The study of how the nervous system functions.  This course explores the role of the nervous system in regulating animals’ interactions with, and responses to their environment.  Students will examine the relationships between structure and function, from the anatomical and developmental organization of the nervous system, to the cellular and molecular components that give rise to neural communication and higher order function.  Student-designed investigative experiments and independent projects will be emphasized in the laboratory.
