ART 222G MAKING COMICS: GRAPHIC MEMOIR

An exploration of the potential of comics as a medium to share complex and intimate personal stories. Students will write, illustrate, and self-publish a full-length comic based on lived experiences, while reading autobiographical comics by Art Spiegelman, Marjane Satrapi, Alison Bechdel, and others. Students are welcome to work in both digital and traditional media in this class.
