ART 200B DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY

An introductory photography course exploring the technical, historical, and theoretical underpinnings of contemporary digital photography. The course approaches the medium in its current complex and pluralistic states in order to explore a variety of photographic concepts and techniques. Eclectic forms of output are encouraged in order to explore new methods of presentation. Assignments, lectures, readings, and discussions will consider different components of the photographic.

The department has a limited number of digital cameras for students to borrow. All students must purchase other required supplies.

Prerequisite

Any 100-level art course or permission of the Instructor (who provides overrides for all students).
