THE 224 THEATER FOR YOUNG AUDIENCES

Through the study and practice of plays and production, the course addresses theater for young audiences from a variety of perspectives.  Primary emphases lie in audience analysis, history, performing, creating original work, adapting children’s stories, and critical analysis of extant performances.  While preparing creative work for children, students will also prepare to work with children, learning techniques for teaching theatre performance skills.
