THRIVING AND SURVIVING IN THE ANTHROPOCENE

Humankind has become the global driver of change on Earth. This course explores literature that helps understand how we got to this point, and how storytelling and poetry might help us imagine, and then build, more livable futures. Genres include novels, short stories, poetry, narrative nonfiction, science writing, history, and films. Authors may include Octavia Butler, Amitav Ghosh, Robin Wall Kimmerer, Chang-rae Lee, and Joy Harjo.
