ENG 311 AFRICAN NOVELS

This study of the novel across Africa since the 1950s will analyze the historical and theoretical contexts for the emergence of modern African literature. Authors may include Achebe, Armah, Bâ, Ben Jelloun, Bulawayo, Coetzee, Emecheta, Lalami, Ngugi, and Sembène.
