ENG 120W HEALTH & SOCIAL JUSTICE: BLM
Health and Social Justice from Abolition to #BLM. An investigation of race, health, and social justice in the United States from the Civil War to MLK and #BLM. Links among health disparities and social inequity highlighted during COVID have occurred several times before in U.S. history; each time, narrative has been essential to prompting social change. Students will examine narratives (and some lyric poems) that mesh anti-racist protest with health justice during all three eras.
Enrollment Limit
Enrollment limited to 28 students.
