SPA 280 STUDY AWAY SEMINAR (IN SPAN)

A critical reflection for students before or after studying, working, or completing an internship abroad.  Examining travel, study, work, volunteering, and research abroad, the course addresses global understanding and critical skills.  Discussions of authentic texts and culturally-sensitive materials, second-language acquisition vs. cultural tourism, fair-trade learning, patterns of consumption, and social and racial justice.
