EAS 102 INTR TO ASIAN AMERICAN STUDIES

An introduction to key issues in Asian American Studies. What does it mean to be Asian American? How are Asian American identities and experiences represented (or not)? What is the relationship between “Asia” and “Asian America”? In considering these questions, students will be introduced to histories of Asian American activism, immigration, and racialization, emphasizing interdisciplinary methodologies and theories in Asian American Studies.
