CHI 416 CHINESE FOR THE PROFESSIONS

A survey of selected Chinese professional fields, along with concomitant ACTFL advanced-level language training on resume writing, emailing, note taking, and oral interviewing. The course also introduces to students to filming and editing presentations, translation and consecutive interpreting, and workplace networking. Students will submit an online portfolio of a mock internship, graduate school, job, or corporate grant application in a field of their own choice as their final project, and compile an individualized vocabulary and grammar list to support their work.
