Educational Studies Major
The Educational Studies major engages students in critically examining the foundations of education, educational policies and practices, and the ways that societal structures shape and are shaped by educational perspectives and outcomes. Programs of study in the Education Department do not lead to teacher certification.
Requirements to fulfill the Educational Studies major
Students completing the Educational Studies major must take nine courses, or seven courses and eight credits of student teaching:
