Latin American and Latino Studies Minor

Requirements

The Latin American and Latino Studies minor consists of a minimum of six courses at or above the 200 level taken in the Department of Hispanic Studies and in other Connecticut College departments and programs that offer courses on Latin America and Latinos in the United States.

With a total of three courses taken in United States Latino areas of interest, and with departmental permission granted in advance, one course per semester taken at other institutions, including  study abroad programs, may be counted toward the minor requirements.  Students are strongly encouraged to pursue related pathways, study away, service learning, FLAC courses, SATA and TRIPS, and integrate those outcomes into coursework within the minor.
