STA 206 STATISTICAL METHODS

An introduction to statistical methodology, including descriptive statistics; probability; probability distributions of discrete and continuous random variables; maximum likelihood and method of moments estimation; classical methods for confidence intervals and hypothesis testing for one- and two-sample problems. Emphasis on application of these methods to real world studies.
