REL 303 POWER AND KNOWLEDGE IN ISLAM

This course investigates a wide range of historical and geographic contexts to explore how an attention to questions of knowledge and power can illuminate the complexity of Muslim perspectives. Rather than focusing on Islam as monolithic whole, students will study how Muslims fashion themselves and the world(s) around them through an engagement with contemporary ideas, practices, and interlocutors.
