FLM 336 GLOBAL DOCUMENTARY

A study of documentary form, practice, and ethics around the globe from colonial filmmaking and ethnographic travelogues to war propaganda and modern day film activism in conflict zones. The course explores the political potential (and dangers) of the camera as a tool for protest, counter archiving, and social change.
