DAT 201 THEMATIC INQUIRY

An introduction to the use of data as means of creating information and knowledge, within a variety of different disciplinary contexts. Topics include data analysis; the responsible use of data, including the role of the Institutional Review Board; methods of data collection; and how best to communicate results or findings from data. The course also provides a brief introduction to coding in a particular context. Within this framework, students will be expected to develop their animating questions and to propose their Global/Local Engagement.
