BOT 225 SYSTEMATIC BOT/LOCAL FLORA

An exploration of the diversity of ferns, conifers, and flowering plants, as well as their geographic distribution and evolutionary relationships. Students will learn to identify plant species and will become familiar with the natural flora of southern New England. The course will also explore visualization of botanical data and the connections between art and botany.

Prerequisite

One of the following: BOT 105, BOT 114, BOT 115, or BIO 120.

Corequisite

Must take BOT 225L concurrently
