Eligibility for Latin Honors

All graduating students, including those who transfer to the College at the beginning of the junior year, are eligible for Latin honors on the basis of all undergraduate grades, including those from the first year or its equivalent. The relevant grade point average takes into account approved summer courses and study at other institutions, but excludes courses taken with the Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory option, courses designated Pass/Not Passed, courses not accepted for credit toward graduation taken at least 10 years prior to matriculation at the College, and **courses taken while enrolled in an international non-SATA Study Away program.

**Beginning with students matriculating in Fall 2021, including transfer and RTC students.

To be eligible for Latin honors, at least 80 percent of the credits completed, including those from the first year or its equivalent, must come from graded courses. For the purposes of this calculation, credits earned from Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate or British A-level examinations are excluded from the total.
