SPA 312 THE SOUNDS OF SPANISH
A general introduction to the sound system of Spanish and how speech varies within and across dialectal regions. Concepts are reinforced through pronunciation practice, exposure to authentic speech, application activities involving phonetic transcription, and a comprehensive group research project.
Notes
This course cannot be taken at both the 300 and 400 level.
Prerequisite
Any course at the 200 level in Hispanic Studies or permission of the instructor.
