HMD 305 DEATH, DYING, PALLIATIVE CARE

An exploration of concepts related to death and dying.  Topics will challenge students to examine their own attitudes toward issues related to death and dying, including but not limited to psychological, medical, legal, ethical, religious, and cultural aspects of death, dying, and bereavement. Particular attention to the shift in the United States, where palliative care serves as a key component in keeping people in the community.  Topics are subject to change annually. Community service learning my be required.
