ECO 342 FIN, REGULATION & THE ECONOMY

Finance, Regulation, and the Economy

With recent financial scandals and crises, the question for many policymakers, academics, and practitioners becomes: Should the finance industry be regulated and undergo further reform? Many contend that the current system is simply not designed to make policy choices on behalf of the public. Therefore, students will explore this debate. Theory will be complemented by a survey of financial economic principles.
