CLA 302 THE WORLD OF LATE ANTIQUITY

An investigation of the Roman Empire between the 3rd and 5th centuries CE. Using literary, documentary, and material sources, students will explore the political upheavals and developments in Roman government, the expansion of Christianity and its impact, and the culture and daily lives of the diverse inhabitants of Europe and the Mediterranean world during this complex and vibrant period.
