GLOBAL MIDDLE ENGLISH

An exploration of how contemporary Anglophone writers from all over the world adapt some of the greatest hits of Middle English literature, including works by Chaucer, the Gawain poet, and Margery Kempe. Readings of medieval texts along with poetry, drama, and film from the Caribbean, Nigeria, the U.K., and the U.S.

Open to sophomores, juniors, and seniors. For sophomores, ENG 250 is strongly recommended.
