FYS 1001 DANTE AT 700+

September 14, 2021 marks the 700th anniversary of Dante’s death. His Divine Comedy is still one of the most popular works of literature, with countless translations, adaptations, and retellings across the centuries. By reading through his writings, students will explore how Dante’s work is still influential and thought-provoking in relation to themes such as justice, gender, interreligious dialogues, and accessibility to knowledge and education.
