AHI 216 ART CRIMES & THE VALUE OF ART

An examination of the social and economic value of art and cultural heritage through the lens of art crime throughout history and in the present day. This course questions how and why we value art, ethical and practical concerns in the preservation of cultural artifacts and the repatriation of stolen art, and issues of authenticity in art production.
